As ‪COP21‬ gets underway, it is crucial to get gender squarely on the table to show the world that women's empowerment can be a tool in the fight against climate change. The latest issue of the GAP Update newsletter gives context to the issues, challenges and solutions around gender and climate change, including links to partners' blog posts, background resources, toolkits and useful networks.

The Gender in Agriculture Partnership is a multi-stakeholder network for action, developed through the passion and commitment of individuals across many civil, private, governmental and inter-governmental institutions at global, regional, national and local levels, working together to promote gender equity and empower women in agriculture. Under the workstream advocating Research in Society, the Global Forum provides support and capacity for GAP, whose Partners and Catalysts inspire change and foster collective actions through knowledge sharing, advocacy, mentoring and institutional transformation.

If you would like to be involved with GAP in ensuring that gender is taken effectively into account in combating climate change--or in other areas--register as a Partner or Catalyst on the GAP website.
