IRESA is the National Agricultural Research and Higher Education Institution of Tunisia. It is an umbrella Institution, the role of which consists of coordinating the Research and higher education programs of 11 Agricultural Higher Education Institutions, 06 Agricultural National Research Institutes, and 04 Regional Research Centers in Tunisia, and promoting/developing synergies among ag research, extension, development agencies, farmers, and other stackeholders, as well as capacity building, developing cooperative ag research programs and supporting networking at the national,regional and the international levels.
