Joost Vervoort works at the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford. He is employed as the Scenarios Officer for Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), a global program of the Global Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) that focuses on adaptation to progressive climate change, short-term climate variability and risk and climate change mitigation in the service of improved food security, environmental health and livelihoods in the developing world. Within CCAFS, Joost Vervoort organizes sub-continental strategic futures processes that include the development and use of regional scenarios exploring key socio-economic and governance uncertainties for East Africa, West Africa and South Asia.
