Farmers need information. Not only about new agricultural technologies, but also about what to grow and how to grow it, and how to market their produce profitably in order to ensure that their livelihoods are sustainable. They need customized and innovative solutions to their unique problems. Increasingly, such solutions are being produced by blending knowledge and information from various sources. The purpose of this project is to take advantage of the Global Forum’s unique advantages in order to facilitate dialogue among ARD stakeholders, build awareness, and advocate approaches that will mobilize knowledge from various sources in order to encourage innovation in smallholder agriculture.
