As part of their "I am Agriculture" youth campaign, Farming First TV is interviewing several agricultural experts, finding out how they got started in their career, and asking what opportunities they see for young people in agriculture today.

In this video, Mr Shenggen Fan, Director General of the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), also a Partner in GFAR, talks about his first-hand experience leading him to the conviction that agriculture is a huge economic opportunity:

"Agriculture is not just a social sector, it's not just a development sector, it's an economic sector," says Mr Fan. "So, smallholders need to make money. It creates great opportunities for young people to go to the rural areas to set up enterprises..."
