EEA was set up in 2008 as a non-profit organizations and later amended to a limited company to extend services in Advocacy for rural development, Capacity development, Knowledge, and Empowerment. EEA has also focused on small business development, life skills development and hands-on learning. They launched in 2008 a community-based program to empower youth and women through entrepreneurial training and microfinance
