AgriVIVO for enabling global networking for agriculture. Concept Note

Concept note for the AgriVIVO project. The primary goal of AgriVIVO is to facilitate better networking of individual researchers and the organizations they belong to for better collaborations and less duplication of efforts.

Use Cases for a Standard to describe Organizations

The ARD community is asking for reliable and comprehensive information on Organizations in the ARD field, especially in correlation to information about projects and eperts. FAO and GFAR have proposed an Application Profile for describing Organizations and this presentation focuses on different uses cases for such an AP. The presentation was made at the AgrisContent Taskforce meeting in Wageningen, March 1-2 2007.

Report of the Meeting of the AARINENA ad hoc Committee for the development of a Global Partnership Programme on the theme of Linking Smallholder Farmers to Markets. 22-23 February 2006. Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates

The meeting held in Abu-Dhabi on 22-23 February was designed to move the above process forward by convening an ad hoc working group composed of the promoters of the three project ideas mentioned above and selected resource persons from the region. International Cooperation on Commodity Chains¿ is one of the four priority areas identified by the GFAR Steering Committee in the action line ¿Promoting innovative research partnerships¿. This priority refers to many crops (major or under-utilised crops) that are economically very important, especially for many small growers in agricultural farming systems
