E-Discussion summary - “Forward Thinking for ICT use in Asian Agri-Food Chains”
CIARD in collaboration with GFAR and FAO hosted an E-Discussion on Forward Thinking for ICT use in Asian Agri-Food Chains from 13 August to 8 September.
 
This e-discussion focused on what futures may happen for Asian agri-food systems and ICTs through research, innovation, changes in institutions, regulatory frameworks and organizations at international, regional and national levels.
 
This discussion was to also to prepare for the GFAR-FAO forum on the same topic at the AFITA 2014 International Conference being organized at Perth, Australia from 29 September - 2 October 2014. The discussion had 96 participants from 32 countries across the world. There were more than 80 individual contributions in discussing the topic.
 
The facilitators of the E-Discussion have now summarized the discussions, edited and rearranged the contributions. The Summary is now open to all for comments through the CIARD website. Your comments and suggestions on the summary, discussions and the topic are welcomed and appreciated.
