Dr. C.Ravindran, an Horticulturist, has multi faceted research experience of over seven years in the field of Fruit science, fruit plant multiplication, collection, conservation and evaluation of underutilized fruit crops and grape downy mildew management. His contribution to the FAO Hortivar data base, Global Horticulture Assessment, Global Consultations on Farmers’ Rights has been noteworthy. He is author/editor/co-editor of 4 books, 5 journals, 10 research articles and 25 popular articles. He is life member of several national scientific societies viz., HSI, SAH, SPH, ISAH, ISVS, HHDS, NESA, and International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), World Association for Soil and Water Conservation (WASWAC). He is a national representative of WASWAC and earned distinguished academic award Junior Research Fellowship from ICAR, New Delhi, Achiever Award 2010 by Society for Advancement of Human and Nature (SADHANA), YSPUHF, Solan and Jr. Scientist of the year -2006 Award from NESA, New Delhi. He also recipient of several travel grant award from Krikhouse Trust (UK), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), BAIF, J &K Council of Science and Technology enable to participate and present his paper at International symposium held at Malaysia, South Korea, Tanzania. Recently organized First International Symposium on Cashew Nut at Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
