Do you have a story to tell about your farming or agripreneurial experience?

Want to give advice to others looking to get into the agriculture sector?

Farming First is now running a three-week advocacy campaign to encourage young people to pursue agricultural careers. From 3rd – 21st October, the #IamAg Campaign showcases the many careers available in agriculture. Check out the campaign page here.

Farming First asks you to post your blog, video, vine, periscope, etc on social media between 3 - 21 October and tag it #IamAg. Everyone who takes part has the chance to be featured in the campaign wrap up video, or even have their story turned into a cartoon for sharing on social media. The goal is to continue to fuel awareness of the importance of attracting and keeping youth in agriculture to help secure a sustainable future for all.

Other ways you can get involved include:

  1. Sign up to the Thunderclap that will send a timed tweet out, declaring what great opportunities exist in agriculture, especially for youth
  2. Retweet FF's tweets tagged with #IamAg
  3. Share or embed FF's infographic "Working in Agriculture" that showcases the many careers young people can pursue
  4. Add a badge to your Twitter or Facebook profile to declare "I am Ag"

Find the Youth Campaign toolkit attached below.

Farming First TV has also interviewed several agricultural experts, finding out how they got started in their career, and asking what opportunities they see for young people in agriculture today. New videos are added to their "Inspiring Youth" playlist every day! Check it out here
