A couple points of note were a new Steering Committee chair and a new name for the coordinator.
New Chair
YPARD would like to welcome Codrin Paveliuc-Olariu as the new Chair of Steering Committee. We would like to thank Froukje Kruijssen for her guidance and support that she provided as SC Chair and will continue to provide in her current role of vice-chair. Codrin, with his knowledge of YPARD and keen interest in food security and youth issues will bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the role. We look forward to continuing to develop YPARD and its strategy with Codrin as SC Chair.
New Title
Having to explain the difference between the title 'coordinator' and 'regional coordinator' for so long, it was decided at YPARD's SC meeting that the coordinator of YPARD, Courtney Paisley, should get a change of name. Many options were discussed and debated on what title would really describe the role of the individual. With YPARD's global nature and the activity of directing the strategic development of YPARD it was decided to change the name to Global Director.
Looking forward to continuing to work for greater youth engagement in ARD, under any name!
